Time just keeps on flying by and somehow my BABY is 16 months old already! It could be because she is our last little babe, but Harper seems to be growing up way too fast. Can we not figure out how to slow time down already?! A week or two ago I shared a little bit of a detailed look into the little peoples schedule. Since posting, I’ve had quite a few requests for more details in Harper’s schedule. So today I’m sharing whats new with our little babe + a peak into a typical day for her!

When it comes to having little people, there are a LOT of decisions suddenly thrown at you. It can be a little overwhelming for anyone! I love going to other experienced moms for advice and try to share my own whenever I can, in hopes of helping a nervous new mom somewhere! Joe + I were just shopping at Walmart for a new car seat so we can keep one in his truck for easy transfers. With car seats + our research fresh in mind (not to mention FIVE kids), I thought this would be the perfect time to share 3 tips I use when picking out a car seat.
Knowing Harper is our last baby has been such a different experience. I think for us, it has reminded us to enjoy every little minute since these will be our last “baby firsts”. When it came to designing Harper’s Nursery, I really wanted to savor every minute. I knew it was the last little nursery I’d be creating. So I really wanted it to be a place I loved that I could soak up allll the baby goodness in. If you remember in our California home I had my sweet friend, Annalisa from Oilo Studio help me help put her creative touch on the space. Cause she’s amazing + her eye for modern baby design is out of this world. I could not be happier with how it turned out!
As a mom of 5, it’s rare that I come across something new in the parenting world – especially in the baby years. I’ve been to this rodeo five times over now, so coming across something new with Harper or Houston that I haven’t already experienced with one of the others is rare. I was thrown for a loop when both Houston + Harper came along with such sensitive skin. Since their skin was so sensitive I wasn’t willing to compromise on whatever touched it. After searching and finding the things that worked best for us, I’m sharing what I’m loving most for my babies and how I care for their sensitive skin.
My sister had her baby last week + we’ve been talking all things baby as she prepared for the big day, and what to pack in her hospital bag came up a lot. I feel like I say this a lot, but having been through 5 deliveries + hospital stays, I consider myself pretty experienced. haha. I definitely have my go to’s, and have shared a few of them here + here. So today I thought I’d share the ultimate hospital bag + a little trick on how I got my babies to take a binkie!
This past week flew right by and it is already time for another round of our new feature, Favorite Finds. If you missed last week, this is a new series where I’ll highlight the things I’m getting asked about the most, and my must have finds I’d share with any great girlfriend! With Harper turning one, (cue the tears, you can read her birth story here) I wanted to devote this week’s post to all my favorite finds for Baby’s First Year. Having 5 little people of my own, its safe to say I’ve tested my fair share of products. From must haves for the nursery, baby gear, and sleep helps, I’m sharing it all!
Our little Harper girl is growing up faster than I can even stand and she is officially 11 months! Somehow time with all the house things seemed to drag by, yet her time here with us has flown by!! Talk about not one bit fair! I don’t know if its just because I know she is my last little babe, but it is completely breaking my heart. I have had a few good cries about it in the last month because I’m just not ready for any of my people to grow up! Since I can’t seem to stop that, I wanted to at least do an 11 month update to share whats new with our sweet Harper girl.
Our sweet Harper girl is growing up faster than any of us like and we can’t get enough of her! Today marks 10 months that she’s been a part of our little crew and it just keeps getting better! I love sharing updates with you about fun milestones + her current favorites so I put together a little list.
With Harper celebrating 10 Months, I thought what better time to share Holiday Gift Guide #2, one of my very favorites to put together…BABY! As a mom of 5, I consider myself just a little experienced in buying for baby. haha!
First of all how is time flying by and this little girl is already NINE months old?! Can you believe it?! I swear I blinked and we got to this point! She is such a happy baby, and we can’t imagine our lives without her. We still fight over who gets to hold her, feed her, and all things Harper. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! I love sharing updates with you guys and hearing how you relate with your own babes, so here is whats new with chunky girl!

Today I’ve decided to finally open up about my nursing experience with all five of my babies. I know it can be such a touchy subject…as some women can’t breastfeed, some don’t want to and some babies just can’t get the hang of it and so on. But first off I want to say, there is absolutely no right or wrong way to feed your baby!! What you choose for you + your baby is the right choice for you and don’t let anyone or anything tell you otherwise.
To make a long story short I have nursed all five of my babies (from 5 months to 12 months) and all five experiences have been completely different from each other as every baby has come with their own personality and situation. I remember vividly feeling so much pressure with my first to only breastfeed. This ended up being one of the hardest challenges for me as a new mom.
