We are officially in the new house and could not be more excited! It is the best Christmas present we could’ve asked for! As I’ve mentioned here before, we planned on being in the house a lot sooner than how it turned out. With the idea of having family over and spending Thanksgiving + Christmas in our new home, I had big plans for our Christmas Decor!
The first thing I had planned was a new tree in our main room, with all new Christmas decor. I planned on having a beautiful wreath and decorating the banister and mantle to coordinate. I was so excited to have the kids decorate their own tree down in the basement however they wanted. Butttt as you all know, life happens, and things don’t always go according to plan. Moving in just a couple weeks before Christmas had our lives instantly crazy town, and Christmas Decor was put on the back burner.
It is time for another update and we have some good news…WE ARE IN!!! Oh my gosh you guys, I can’t even tell you how exciting it is to be able to finally say that! If you follow me over on Instagram, you’ve seen a few sneak peeks. I was overwhelmed with the positive feedback + hundreds of questions on our flooring, so I am sharing all the details here today!
The house is coming along slooooowly but surely! Right now our potential move in date is somewhere between December 1st + 8th!! We are feeling like we should make a paper chain count down to celebrate! With that being said, there has definitely been a lot of progress since my last post! I thought it was a good time for a house update to give you an idea of where we are!
I’m just now finally getting around to writing a house update and am excited to finally share some progress! It has been a long and stressful road but we feel beyond blessed for this opportunity to build in a town that we are excited to be in! It has been so fun living close to my sisters and having parents closer as well. Plus the little people have adjusted so well!! The hardest part has been more just me trying to manage all of our stuff in a two bedroom basement apartment! Our date has been pushed back quite a few times as we’ve had some hiccups along the way, but in the end we know it will be so worth it!
I’m so excited to share my Master Bedroom design by my good friend Becki Owens! I absolutely love her style and know everything she touches is amazing, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to work with her on something of my own! We teamed up with Layla Grace + Gabby Home to give the space a whole new look!!
Happy Tuesday friends! I am so excited to FINALLY share with you Harper’s nursery — just in time to pack it all up for the move in a few weeks – haha!! I was able to co-design the nursery with my dear friend Annalisa, owner of Oilo Studio. We did Houston’s nursery together as well. You can see that HERE…
Tomorrow our house goes on the market!! So I’ve been finshing up a few area’s with some little art pieces — to just make the space look perfect! We love little sentimental items like this in our home. I got this print because we want to remember the five years we’ve lived here in cali and all the memories we’ve made.
Guys!! I finally got my pink couch + my FAVORITE piece of art this past weekend!! Yay! I feel like we can almost put the house up for sale because the house is finally looking put together again. Today, I rounded up my most favorited Minted art . . .
So I’m starting to pin a ton of home inspiration pictures on Pinterest!!! Like every night before I go to bed. Follow along on with my Pinterest to see what we are loving for the new house. I am seriously in love with all these white kitchens.
