Since Joe + I were first married, we knew we wanted to have a big family. We both have close relationships with our siblings and wanted the same for our little people too! Along with having a big family, comes a BUSY schedule. Sometimes it feels like we are constantly on the go. As parents, one of our top concerns + focuses was if each of our people is getting enough one on one time. Having that strong bond individually with each of them is so important to us, so we started what we call our Kid Dates. I shared a little about doing this around Christmas and had a lot of questions, so I thought I’d share some tips we’ve learned from doing our Kid dates + some fun ideas we’ve done or are dying to try!
Now that we are back in Utah, cold weather is just around the corner. I’m not sure this “California Girl” is ready!! I’ve been prepping by actually buying my first big winter coat, and searching for all the best beanies and scarves! Also I found so many cute ones, I had to share my favorites with you! If I’m missing out on some amazing winter item…please share with me in the comments!
I don’t know how it seems to happen every single year, but time has flown by!! And somehow Christmas is just 6 weeks away! I’ve tried to be on top of it a little better this year. A few weeks ago I asked you guys what you wanted to see most in my holiday content this year. I was thrilled to get SO many responses requesting Gift Guides!
I love putting them together and they actually help me get my shopping done at the same time! This year I thought I would start off with the HARDEST one for me…and a lot of you…the amazing MEN in our life! From my favorite go-to gifts, to some new ideas I have for Joe + my dad this year, I hope you find something that works for the men in your life!
I’ve been getting a lot of questions on how we are surviving in a 2- bedroom rental with all 7 of us while we finish our build, and though it’s definitely been chaotic and a little crazy, we are making it work, and feeling so blessed to be able to build this new home in an area we love!
Luckily, our littles have been so flexible with everything, and are still (for the most part) at the ages where they are loving having a big sleepover every night, because that is what it is! We have Hunter, Hudson, and Hayden sharing a big bed, with Houston in his crib in the same room…
