We are rounding up the end of the home tour today with a second look at the basement! If you saw last week, I shared the first half of the basement. We wanted the space to be big + open to host family and friends for fun movie or game nights! As you’ll see in the first section, we are set to snuggle up for the perfect movie night, and today I’ll take you inside the little peoples new favorite spot!
Today on the home tour, we are headed back downstairs for a look inside the basement! I have been so excited to share this space with you. It is one that we spend so much time together as a family. Since it is such a large room, and already kind of sectioned in to two areas, I’ll be breaking the room up and sharing one side today, and the other on Monday! So lets get started with our favorite place to snuggle up for movie night!
Today we are continuing on the home tour and taking you inside our Master Bedroom + Bath! It has been a lonnnng time coming, but so worth it! We finally have all the pieces to complete the space and couldn’t be happier!
When I sat down to go over the design for our Master Bedroom with my close friend + designer Ashley, I told her I wanted it to feel clean, cozy, light, and bright. The first step to getting the light and bright I craved was the big windows! As I’m sure you’ve noticed, we have them around the whole house. I love how much more open and alive it makes everything feel. We were concerned about having such big windows in the Master Bedroom for both privacy + too much light when sleeping, but thanks to our auto shades from Park City Blinds, we can quickly transform the space. They have really been SUCH a game changer and they were so great to work with!!
We are so excited to finally be continuing on with our home tour today, and sharing the boys room with you! It feels like it has been a long time coming! We are so happy with how it turned out, and the boys love it!!
When it came to designing our home, Joe + I both knew we wanted the kitchen area to be the focal point of the home. We knew we wanted to create what we loved, so it was worth investing in. For us, we truly consider it the heart of the home. The kitchen is where we spend the most time together as a family. It was important for us that it was a warm, inviting, happy space where we all wanted to gather. It is the place where we come together for dinner as a family. Some of our most cherished conversations happen here. I am so in love with how it turned out, so today I wanted to invite you in to the heart of our home, our kitchen + dining room.
