the silent to do list...
i had heard about this years ago and then just recently remembered it.
the reason why clutter feels so heavy, overwhelming and stressful is because...the things around us send us messages CONSTANTLY, like:
tidy that
clean me
return this
organize that
you haven’t worn me yet
you haven’t used me + i cost a ton of money
and most of the time, it’s a negative message. one that makes us feel bad about ourselves. feeling like we’re unorganized, unmotivated or going crazy.
that’s why simplifying the clutter in our home feels so good. it quiets down all those messages + creates a more relaxing space to be in.

slept in . woke up to breakfast in bed with hand + foot massages . sweetest hand written cards from the kids . joe spoke in church and gave the best talk . took a nap + read a book . yummiest dinner made by the kids, joe and my dad . night walk with my parents. really i couldn’t have asked for anything more!! 💛💛💛

first trip with just the girls and it was such a special time!! we were exhausted + hot but made some core memories we’ll never forget.
