Yep…another dress, but can you honestly blame me that I’d want to wear something that feels like pajama’s all day?! Haha. The weather here in Cali has been kinda crazy. One day it will be 85 degrees and a few days later 65 degrees. I love that the material of this dress is kinda thin so I feel like I can layer a jacket or cardigan over the top and not feel like I’m dying. Also did I mention this dress is over 30% off?!
Spring Break is finally here!! So I hopped online and snagged a couple of new swimsuits for my little people. Check out just a few of my favorites below! Just click on the image below and it will take you exactly where you need to go + get an extra 30% off spring sale style items at JCREW with the code : SPRINGSALE!! Enjoy!
Hem lines are taken to the max for Spring this year. With the 70’s trend coming back strong and the comfort of a simple tee style dress, a maxi dress is a great way to update your wardrobe. You can pick from a more bohemian look or stay clean and classic with a crisp stripe. Take a look at our favorites you can wear for day or night or even to dress the bump.
You may be wondering what to wear for your date tonight or a shopping/lunch date with a friend next week. Well, we are going to make it easy for you. We have found the perfect dress to wear from day to date. This dress is so versatile and an unexpected soft shade, good for mixing it up from the LBD. Take a look at our picks for styling a day and night look with the same great dress, for a great price! Have a good weekend!
So as we all know between Megan and I…we have gone through many baby items + companies. As I am getting closer to having my last and finally babe, (and with a rather large gap between my last baby) I just knew the market had to have changed a ton. Products now are so much more high tech + totally parent geared and not to mention so much more modern. It’s all about ease and simplifying. So I have been on the search for a few fabulous items including a more compact baby swing. The more I started looking + chatting with people 4moms is all I kept hearing/seeing around. Talk about making your life a whole lot easier…4moms products are defiantly a game changer. They have put a twist on almost every original baby item and made it dramatically better!!
I just got the MamaRoo Plush Bouncer and I nearly died!! This thing is amazing! Honestly they have thought of everything…from assembly + packaging + storing for next baby + modern day technology like operating it with your iphone!! Yes you heard me right…your phone. My kids have not stopped playing with our MamaRoo since we got it + Hayden can hardly stand to not have it swaying or rocking her baby 24/7. I on the other hand can not wait to put our new babe in it + I just know it is going to help me regain those few moments you need to snuggle my other kids or throw in a load of laundry. They also have a Newborn Insert that I am planning on getting to use for those first couple of months when baby is so little.
Seriously, both the Plush MamaRoo + the MamaRoo are equally amazing! They both recline and both have the built in sound and plug-in for your phone, and the Newborn Insert work for both as well.
Another favorite I’ve been dying to try is the Breeze Playard + Breeze Waterproof Playard Sheet. You can totally set up the playard with just one hand! Amazing! Not only is it a breeze to set up… I love how easy the bassinet portion is to assemble and how easy it is to carry and disassemble. 4moms got it right – these are baby essentials for sure.
We all know I’m about dressy comfortable this pregnancy, and for me dresses are the way to go right now. I hope you enjoy some of my comfortable/casual items that you can also dress up!! It’s a win win. Enjoy + thanks for stopping by!! Happy Monday!
Okay ladies so can we just talk about Targets line for maternity by Liz Lange?! Amazing + the prices are going to blow your mind!! This dress that I have on is only $25!! Yes, you read it right $25. I own at least three of these babies. Honestly, you should know by now, I am dress wearing girl. Haha. I love that I feel like I’m not breaking the bank on Maternity clothes (since we can’t really wear them that long anyway) but I love that I can have something new and updated. What women doesn’t like to have a few new items, right?! Hope you all are having a fabulous Monday!!
Sometimes we get asked about our makeup routine as busy moms. It’s important to have a look that is natural and gives our skin an all over even glow. The worst is looking tired even when we’ve had a sleepless night. Here is a basic makeup routine you can use everyday to look refreshed and beautiful, but not over done. Just one of our favorites with great makeup staples.
EVERYDAY MAKEUP STEPS
After you have moisturized, place some of this color corrector under you eyes with the tip of your index finger. It’s amazing for covering up dark circles, or any imperfections on your face.
Then, layer with this amazing tinted moisturizer all over your face. Not only does it give sun coverage, but it will even out your skin tone and give you that dewy glow that is youthful and refreshing.
The Nars Laguna Bronzer is the perfect color. It adds warmth without making your face look dull. Apply this to the forehead and draw it down around the face, across the cheekbones, along your chin and down your nose. With the remainder lightly set your under eye area.
For a subtle shimmer and more glow, the Nars multi stick is amazing. It brightens your cheeks, acting as a blush. So easy to apply.
Start with a soft eye liner right next to your lash line. This mac pencil in the “Lord it Up” gold color is pretty with just a touch of sparkle. It’s a subtle gold color, a little more fun than a heavy black or dark brown.
Keep the eyes simple for day. If you don’t have false lashes but want the look start with a primer. It thickens your lashes prepping them for mascara.
This Extreme Party Mascara by Bobbi Brown is unique patented to not dry out as you add layers. So layer away over your primer to create thick, long lashes.
To give the allusion of a plumper limp start with a liner. The Nars lip pencil comes in a variety of really natural shades that add volume without looking obvious.
Then blend with a creamy lip stick like this Bobbi Brown. It’s so smooth and pretty.
If you like the glossy look, layer it over the top. Again, Nars has the most amazing natural colors.
If you are looking for a go to routine for your daily makeup this will do the trick. Once you have done it a couple of times it only takes 5 minutes and looks flawless. Have fun with it and have a great weekend!
So lets chat about maternity dresses….I have found the mother ship of them all!!! Isabella Oliver’s dresses are seriously out of this world…honestly I hope I can put into words my love/obsession for them. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wear the big baggy maternity dresses. I personally end up looking ten times bigger then I really am. Before I was even pregnant I found Isabella Oliver on Pinterest and I nearly died over their darling selection of maternity dresses + shirts etc. I seriously could. not. wait. to be pregnant just to be able to wear one of their dresses. They just dropped their new spring line and my bank account nearly died. (just don’t tell the husband) This NEW Clement Print T-shirt dress was just one of my favorite pieces they launched. I also own and few of the plain colored T-shirt dresses + their Long Sleeve Striped ones as well. Okay, so I totally forgot to mention how comfortable these are!! Honestly, I feel like I am wearing pajama’s + with all the ruched detail this dress is bound to last me my entire pregnancy! And trust me….I get huge towards the last two months. Also, right now you can get 15% off all dresses with the code: DR315. So run don’t walk + you can thank me later.
I’ve been getting asked what a few of my favorite staple pieces are. I absolutely can not go with out my Michael Kors sunglasses. I have never owned a “nice” pair of sunglasses until last year, and let me tell you…it was so worth it. These sunnies aren’t even that expensive, but I stayed low in price for my first pair + I need/want to buy another pair asap.
Every pregnant girl knows we gotta live in flats. My Yosi Samra foldable flats are my most favorite + comfortable. Another few of my favorite staples are my basic gold jewelry. I don’t like to wear a lot personally, because I feel like it’s always getting in the way when I do my hair clients, or just washing the dishes + doing laundry. So you won’t see me change it up much in this department much. Watch . Bracelet . Necklace in gold . Necklace in silver .
And last but not least…my grey Michael Kors Wallet/Clutch. I’m at the stage right now where I can get away with not having to carry all my little peoples extra stuff with me + I know that will all change as soon as baby comes. So I’m getting as much use out of this clutch while I can.
Yesterday, we ended up going for another Sunday stroll through the park near our house. Hayden insists daily that we take “da babies” for a walk in the stroller. How could I say no, even if it was right after church and I was in heels. She’s currently obsessed with her little black baby she got from Santa + thinks the baby in my belly needs everything her baby needs (i.e. a blanket to stay warm, a nap at nap time). I’m trying very hard to soak in these last few months I have with just her before baby comes.
Okay, so on to this amazing Black Tunic (which is sold out everywhere…so I am so sorry. I will update as soon as I find it again. But I have found some other very similar ones.) similar here, here, and here. It is none maternity and I wore this pre-pregnancy weekly!! Both my sisters have this top as well! I love that it can work for any body type and is just so flattering on everyone.
Distressed Jeans + (similar here)….I think Megan and I live in ours + I will always say, a girl needs a fabulous pair of jeans!
These Cheetah Pumps are truly the most comfortable heels I have ever owned!! I wore them last month at a conference all.day.long. without even thinking twice. Now you know that means comfort!!
