Life Update

It’s time for our monthly life update! I can’t even believe how fast this year is flying by. Summer is my favorite time of the year because I love that my kids can be home and we can spend more time together as a family!!

OUR LIFE UPDATE

: HOUSE UPDATE

We have windows!! And they’re finally starting to get installed. We have half of the windows in the house, but the other big ones might take another week. And just yesterday, they started digging the pool. It’s crazy that it’s all finally starting to come together after 5 to 6 years of dreaming this up.

: MY UPDATE

Wanted to share a little update on my testosterone pellet. It has seriously been a game-changer. I don’t quite feel like the dose is right yet, so we need to tweak that a little bit. But I do feel like I’m starting to get back to my normal self with more motivation and energy. I’m hoping that after a couple of more appointments, we can get the dosage right on!

High school cheer has basically taken over my life! And sometimes I wonder what the crap I’m doing. It is definitely rewarding, and I love spending extra time with Hayden, but I don’t think I was quite ready for how much time and preparation it would be! But I am loving getting to know all the girls and being involved in the cheer atmosphere again!

: HUNTER

Hunter is honestly doing so well! She’s on her third transfer, which has officially been her mission for four months. I seriously can’t believe how fast time is going by! We miss her every day, but we are able to FaceTime her on Mondays, so it has become our entire family‘s favorite day of the week.

: HAYDEN

Hayden is totally flourishing with high school cheer and being with all her girls! She is still in All-Star cheer and loving that. She’s also doing some tumbling coaching, so between two cheer teams and coaching, she is pretty busy this summer. She has a really big ear surgery coming up in July, which will take her out for six weeks, and I think that might absolutely kill her not being able to be busy with cheer.

: HUDSON

It’s the summer before his junior year, and I didn’t know that this was the summer most scouts look at players for college offers. I’m blown away that we are already here. He has been traveling every single weekend, which is so exciting for him, but also sad for me because I hate missing anything my kids do. We still have a lot of tournaments coming up. I just got back from San Diego, which was so fun because we decided at the last minute to take our whole family. It was so sad not having Hunter with us. It’s a hard adjustment, but I know that Hunter is exactly where she’s supposed to be. And we are just beyond proud of her and the sacrifice and service she is giving to the people of Indiana for the next 18 months.

: HOUSTON + HARPER

I’ve said this 100 times, but the babies are just easy and going with the flow. With both of the big kids’ sports dominating our year this year, we’ve decided to take Harper out of All-Star cheer and just focus on tumbling. Houston ended up switching baseball teams just because of the traveling schedule, so we actually only have one more turn for him, and then the rest of the summer is off.

. . .

My number one priority is to keep my family together as much as possible this summer, and obviously, that is very difficult with sports and 4 kids! I feel like we are constantly juggling everyone’s schedules, but I also know that the kids absolutely love what they’re doing. I just have to tell myself that everybody gets a turn in the spotlight right now.\

Thanks for being here! If you missed it, I shared my step-by-step hair routine last week. You can check it out here!
