Summer is coming — and that means it’s time to think about new pieces in your closet that aren’t going to make you die of heat this summer! In Southern California it get’s pretty hot + with four little people and hauling them all over I need tops that don’t need extra layering and that stay in place, if you know what I mean. 1. Blouse’s : these are usually not made of cotton and are a bit dressier. A blouse can dress up your everyday “jeans + tee” look without adding anything else!! These are such a huge staple in my closet.

2. Patterned Tee’s : we’ve all gotta have a little change + mix of patterns in our closet staples. So adding a striped, polka dot or floral tee can change a whole look and add a just that perfect amount of flare.

3. Tunic’s : these are amazing to wear with leggings, for a more casual look + tunics can be worn through out your pregnancy. If your tunic is long enough it can be worn by itself at the pool or beach, and can also be tucked in to a nice pair of jeans (think black or white denim) to dress up your look.

4. Basic Tee’s: these are your whites, blacks, pinks pretty much any plain colored staples that you can wear with anything and everything!! Throw on a leather jacket to dress it up or just leave as is.
