Our Lake Day Essentials

I swear we’ve spent basically the whole summer on the lake this year! It’s our favorite place to be together as a family. We went to Lake Powell a couple of weeks ago with some friends, and it was the best time. Life is just better on the lake! So I wanted to share the items that are a MUST for lake days.

LAKE DAY ESSENTIALS

: GEOMETRY TOWELS

These pool towels are the actual best. I’ve been sharing them for years. They fold up super thin, so they are easy to store and pack in your beach bag. They also soak up so much water!! I love that they are lightweight and the perfect size. They come in a ton of patterns, and code KAILEE gets you 15% off!

: SUNSCREEN

We’ve tried a gajillion sunscreens over the years, but we finally found a few that we keep on repeat over here! For kids, I love this PLAY spray sunscreen. It’s lightweight, sprays evenly, and stays on for a long time. We love this face stick too because it glides on perfectly and they never complain about it!

My teens love the Hawaiian Tropic brand. Their tanning spray has SPF 15, so they love using it. And they love putting on the after sun aloe moisturizer. They swear it keeps their tan glowing and dark.

My favorite face sunscreen is the Summer Friday one. It leaves no residue, doesn’t have a smell, and doesn’t hurt my eyes. It’s the perfect consistency, and you don’t have to use a ton. I love the Kopari one for my body because it has shimmer, and who doesn’t love a little extra glow?!

: COOLER + ICE PACKS

I bought this mini Stanley cooler, and I am obsessed! I’ve been using it all summer. I love that it’s easy to pack around since it’s not huge. It fits just enough food and drink for a day at the lake. I also had to buy the most adorable matching ice packs!!

This Yeti cooler is perfect if you need a big cooler for a week on the lake or something. We’ve had ours for years, and it keeps things cold forever!! It makes a good gift for your husband or dad too.

: WATER BOTTLES

If you don’t know, our whole family is obsessed with Hydrojugs. We each have our own color. I love that they don’t leak!! And they come in all different sizes and colors!! It keeps our water cold for over 24 hours. I can’t recommend them enough.
