So I’m starting to pin a ton of home inspiration pictures on Pinterest!!! Like every night before I go to bed. Follow along on with my Pinterest to see what we are loving for the new house. I am seriously in love with all these white kitchens. I’m wanting to go for a more modern look with this house and the kids are just as excited as we are for this new home! We are in Utah this weekend to check out the Parade of Homes! I can’t wait to see all the fun and new designs! You can follow along on Instagram and check out my stories…I’ll try and share as we go along.
Spring is surely on it’s way (I hope!) and new spring dresses are coming back in stores!! I’ve always loved dresses, especially ones with pockets!! Plus, I love that they can be styled as tunics with jeans or leggings if they are a bit too short. Then you can use them as a swim cover up for the summer! Tunic dresses are also a great way to transition from winter to spring. I’ve gathered up some of my favorite dresses below + I’m really loving the light + flowy styles... so perfect for Spring!!
I have had so many of you ask for my top must have baby products! After five babies and 10 years (now that is crazy to say) of using + trying out baby products I’ve narrowed down my personal TOP 6 baby items I think most families need for baby.
We have used these items for multiple babies OR I wish they would have been around for all of my little ones. But these 6 products have helped me in countless ways through-out the years. I listed them all below (in no particular order) and go into detail on each. I’d love to know your tried and true favorite baby products too, so please share in the comments!! Love you guys!!
rock n’ play sleeper : I’ve had this since my 2nd baby. He was really colicky, had bad reflux and would always spit up. Since my 1st loved to sleep in her car seat, we were thrilled when they came out with the rock n’ play sleeper!! All of my other four babies have slept in this wonderfully (for the first few months/along with in their cribs). I love how portable it is so you able to move into any room super easy!!
puj tub + towel : This is the best baby tub out there!! I love that it fits in any sink and you don’t have to bend over the bathtub. It has a hook so you can hang it to dry. This towel is also super great because you can hook it around your neck, set your wet baby on you, then easily + quickly wrap them up to dry. Genius!
diaper bag : So every mom needs a diaper bag and I’m all about organization, even a little OCD, but that is how I function at my best. If you’ve followed along for awhile, you know my love for Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags. They have just the right amount of pockets to fit everything in nicely and yet they look sleek enough that it doesn’t look like your carrying around this huge, bulky, duffel bag.
mamaroo : This rocker has been so helpful when I’ve just needed that extra set of hands when one of my babies has been fussy, and I can’t wear them in a wrap like cooking dinner or one of the other littles need that extra 5 minutes of snuggle time with just them. This rocker has bought that those extra 10 mins here and there. Which every mama needs.
nursing cover / bottles/ pump : So I have nursed and bottle feed all my babies and I think both are great!! But having a good pump is key. Another thing that helped me become more comfortable with nursing was this nursing cover!! Really it honestly was a game changer for me. I felt like I could fuss with baby and not accidentally flash anyone and it covered my sides and back!! Also, we started using these bottles with my second baby because he was so colicky and they helped a ton, so we have kind of stuck with them, but we have also branched out and tried a few others we like as well.
stroller : I’ve had my fair share of strollers, and this one is by far one of my faves so far!! I love the fact that you can turn the baby facing you or towards the front + the different angles you can put them in and it turns on a dime. Plus, it looks super sleek and modern which of course I love!
This week has been yet another crazy week. Joe has been working a ton lately and we have been working on our house, (cant wait to share more with you later), just need to find the time to finish all the plans. Also, I’ve been trying to write Harper’s birth story for the last week but keep falling asleep at night… surprise, surprise! haha!
I am loving all these dresses from Anthropologie, and I’m so ready for spring and summer to get here, but at the same time I don’t want to wish any time away because I want Harper to stay in this newborn phase forever **cue waterworks**. Hope you all have such a wonderful weekend!

. . SOME OF THE BEST PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND SALES . .
I get a lot of questions regarding the color of my blonde hair + what products I use to maintain it. So I thought it was about time to share my go-to blonde products and a little bit of my hair routine. As a few of you might know I’ve actually been doing hair for 15 years. I’ve had a little shop in my house for the past 9 years and love it!! So when I say I have tried a million hair products…trust me because I have. haha.
I’m also going to teach you about purple shampoo and what it can and can’t do + all purple shampoos are created equal. The color of pigment (how dark the purple is) makes all the difference in how it works. First off purple shampoo is out there to help you maintain or keep your blonde looking bright and and not brassy. It helps to tone or freshen up your blonde in between salon visits. So basically purple shampoo is only for the blondes.
The purple shampoo and conditioner treatment from dpHUE is one of my favorites!! I also like to add in a good leave in condition like apple cider vinegar leave-in hair therapy to help give a little moisture back into my hair. Purple shampoo is not something you use everyday. It’s defiantly a once a week wash kind of thing (or even every two weeks for some). It really does the trick if you want to maintain an platinum blonde in between.
Awhile back my hair was more brassy then usual and after one shampoo/condition wash it didn’t do the trick. Then I remembered a few years ago I saw another stylist put purple shampoo on her here dry – so I went for it!! And it totally did the worked!! So there you go…if your wanting to brighten you blonde more apply your purple shampoo dry, leave it on for about five minutes and then rinse and condition with a purple conditions.
Below are just a few of the questions I get the most about purple shampoo + conditioner.
Does the purple shampoo dry out your hair? No it should not, but always use a professional brand…I can’t tell you what a cheap brand for the grocery store will do.
When I use purple shampoo and wash it out am I able to still wash my hair with regular shampoo? I personally think you should shampoo with normal shampoo first and then use your purple shampoo.
Do you have to use it on clean hair? No but like I said above…if your hair is pretty dirty I would shampoo with a normal shampoo first. If your going to apply on dry hair you should be just fine!! Go for it!
Does it tone highlights? Yes! But only if your highlights are light enough. So basically if you went to a salon and came out a really gold or brassy blonde – No it will not fix it. It’s not a fix all. But if your a pale blonde, or your highlights are and they have darkened over a few weeks it will help brighten them up!
What if my roots are a different color than my ends? It’s fine…the purple shampoo will do nothing to your darker hair.
How many times a week should I use the shampoo/conditioner? I personally only use it once a week. I wouldn’t recommend more then that.
So what are your thoughts? Let me know in a comment below or if you have any questions I didn’t answer let me know. Also, be a good friend and share this with your blonde friends, cause you never know who might need a little blonde brightening. haha. Love ya!!
So a ton of you have asked about our playroom rug and if I’ve ever see it on sale to share with you all — well my friends at Lulu & Georgia are having a sale starting tomorrow BUT they gave me a coupon code to shop the sale a DAY EARLY!!! Use the code GOODIE at checkout to get 20% off any rug!! Now run and grab the rug. . . and you can thank me later.
I have been loving cardigans lately (let’s be honest.. I’ve always loved them) and have been wearing them with everything lately. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite cardigans from all over. I love this chunky, over sized option. I think it’s such a statement piece and a fun item to wear. I’m also loving this blush colored cardigan. It’s a perfect color for the upcoming spring season and goes with just about everything! Hope you guys enjoy!!
So if you’ve been following along on Instagram you have seen me wear jogger pants a lot lately. As a mom of five I am loving this trend + after just having a baby these are the perfect pants to wear. The athleisure trend is big right now and I’ve had a lot of readers and friends ask how to style joggers so it doesn’t look like you just rolled out of bed. So here are my three best tips below.
Pair with a nicer piece : it only take one item to change the entire look from gym to street. I like pairing a nicer jacket (not a sweatshirt) to help your outfit look more put together and not like you are wearing your pajamas.
Buy a more fitted pair of joggers: don’t go for the more slouchy, baggy kind of joggers (if your planning on wearing them out) a more fitted style will structure the look + give you some shape.
Do your hair or add a nice brim hat : a messy bun makes the outfit look more relaxed which is fine those more chill days, but to pull off this look as a nicer outfit, doing your hair + make up or adding a hat can make a huge difference!!
Now tell me in the comments if you are loving the athleisure trend right now?! I mean if it is comfortable I am game!! Also, I rounded up a bunch more of my favorite joggers below + most are under $50!!
I’ve had a ton of people ask me about my joggers from my last post about Valentines Gifts for Her and so I’ve rounded up the best joggers all under $100. These Target joggers have been one of my favorites from the very beginning. I also really love Sincerely Jules jogger pants from Nordstrom. They are a little on the pricey side, but they are so worth it. The quality is fabulous and they go with everything.
One of my favorite things about jogger pants (besides that they are unbelievably comfy, haha!) is that they can easily be dressed up or down to wear for different occasions. I like to pair them with a comfy t-shirt + cute sneakers and then when I want to dress up for a date later that night I will add a leather jacket + a pair of heels. This style of pants are so versatile and I love how just adding a couple of accessories can totally change the look of these pants! Now go get yo-self some comfy joggers!!
My first outfit post since having baby! I thought it was time to start wearing real clothes! haha. So I am loving these new free people shoes lately + they come in a ton of fun, different colors!! I finally bit the bullet and ordered them and I’ve basically wore them every day since.
Also I’ve been on the search for some great sweaters to help cover my post baby belly. I found this amazing sweater and it’s also super easy to nurse in which is a great bonus! I’ve been loving sweaters lately + wanted to share some that I’ve found and ordered. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites below! Enjoy!!
Every Monday night (or sometimes on Sunday’s) we do an official family night. Like going out for ice-cream, sitting down all together and watching a movie or just making dinner together. When it’s a dinner night — taco’s are one of my little peoples favorite dinners. So I usually just set up a taco bar and let the kids go to town. This night we made ground beef tacos, but one of my absolute favorite taco recipes is from my mom — and it is amazing!! It’s super easy + fast and everyone loves it!! So I thought I’d share it with all of you!! Also, I rounded up some of my favorite cooking items below. Now go make yourself some taco’s!!
