It’s time for another weekly Instagram Round Up. I don’t know about you guys but the weeks are seriously flying by!! How in the world is Christmas next week? I finally finished my Christmas shopping Thursday night — which is so not like me, but this year has been a crazy one. Also, I can’t wait to share with you guys next week about where we are moving + I’m planning on doing a baby/pregnancy update. Hope you hall have a fabulous weekend + let me know if you are wanting to see me post anything particular? Love you all!!
We finally sat down and asked the kids to write their Christmas list’s to Santa the other night — so now I feel like I finally have a good idea as to what they’re wanting. After hearing some of their gift ideas I hurried and made a few changes to my kids + baby gift guide.
They girls are really into emoji stuff (which really is not my favorite thing) but I found this cute purse + it ships for free!! Also I grabbed a few things for baby since we have absolutely nothing!!! Really, after Houston I gave every . single . thing/item away so I feel like we are starting over. haha.
Also, these lego’s (which what kid doesn’t like lego’s) also come with FREE SHIPPING along with almost every item above AND it can all still be delivered in time for Christmas!!! Hope your all are having a fabulous day and finishing up all your shopping. I promised myself I would finish mine up by the end of the night!!
Okay, so lets talk about my favorite staple shoe — booties!! Booties are one of my all time favorite shoe. They can make any outfit looked pulled together in an instant. What I love most about booties is that they’re so versatile. You can literally wear them with everything in your closest form dresses, leggings, pants, jeans and skirts.
I say to invest in a good pair that are high quality. They don’t have to break the bank, but trust me if you find a good pair they can last you a few years. I bought THESE basic booties a few years ago in grey and still wear them to this day. They are super comfortable and the perfect height + color and go with everything. Booties can also be worn through out the year + they are a great transition piece into spring and fall. I really love these Sam Edelman knee high boots and I also own + love these Vince Camuto ankle booties – I wear them with everything and they are so comfy too!
I’ve gathered up some of my favorite boots + booties from Nordstrom below — because we all know that’s one of my favorite stores! haha. Plus, they carry some great brands and have a huge selection to choose from! Happy shopping and let me know what your go-to favorite shoe is in the comments!!
I can’t believe Christmas is in two weeks! Is everyone ready?! It is finally consistently cold here in Cali, so we are eating up all the booties + cardigan looks. Right now we are still planning on heading to Utah to spend Christmas there with the family, unless the baby has other plans! haha! My next doctors appointment is this week so we will see what she says and make our final decision off that. I can’t believe how fast time has flown by and that it is almost time to add another one – our final one at that! Hope you all have a great weekend!! Love ya!
As you all may already know, sneakers with any dress has been one of my favorite combos to wear this pregnancy – mostly because they are the only things that fit me + the combo is just too comfy! Also, believe it or not, this is a non-maternity dress (under $60) and its amazing stretch makes it possible to wear with my ever-growing bump.
So I’ve had a lot of you ask the one thing I buy most of during my pregnancies and to be honest it is SHOES!! I feel like you can never go wrong because you know your foot is going to stay the same size. (well, with most women) That way I don’t feel like I’m taking a risk buying something like jeans and a tee and hoping it fits after baby, or I’m not worrying about getting down to my pre pregnancy body so soon. No stress with shoes — and I like that.
It’s so easy to dress down any dress with a pair of fun sneakers like these. I think most people are scared, but I say just go for it!! If your comfortable and feel confident thats all the matters anyway!!
Nordstrom always has a fabulous selection of sneakers + I love that if you are questioning the size you can always order two and ship the other one back for FREE!! I’ve gathered up some of my favorite non-maternity dresses that can work for both pregnant + non-pregnant ladies + some of my FAVORITE sneakers at the moment, and linked everything below. If Joe sees this post he will probably say I owe WAY too many sneakers. haha. Happy Friday friends!!
It’s the holiday season and you know what that means, time to start picking out and sending holiday cards to all of your friends and families! I always look forward to receiving holiday cards and so do my little people + it’s one of my favorite traditions!!

So with the holidays coming up, I’ve been loving looking at all the amazing holiday dresses out there. Holiday and work parties are so fun!! Plus, it’s a perfect excuse to buy a new, fancy dress and a night where we can get to dress up and never be “too” fancy or overdressed! (am I right?! haha!)
I really am loving this non-maternity dress and this one because they can work for maternity + after baby comes. And they are such a fun + shiny metallic colors that are perfect for the holidays. I’ve rounded up a bunch of my favorite holiday dresses I’ve seen so far BOTH maternity + non-maternity and linked them all below. Most include free shipping and can be at your door within a few days.

Hope this helps you find that one holiday (and don’t forget New Years) dress you’ve been looking for!! Love you all and hope your having a fabulous day!!
You all know I love to purchase staple pieces for my closet that are versatile and can be worn many different ways!! So today I’m sharing how a simple sleeveless dress can be unbelievably versatile + I can’t get enough of simple designs and pretty colors lately.
Here are a few different ways to style the same maternity dress or non-maternity dress — so that way you can wear it to run errands with your little people, to lunch with your girlfriends, and for date night with your man all in one week or the same day!!
A dress with sneakers is one of my favorite momiforms of all time. Especially while being pregnant. Dresses are so much more comfortable and a great pair of comfortable sneakers just can’t be beat in my book. Throwing on a denim jacket can always help bring the whole outfit together.
Heels and a clutch are always a quick way to dress up any look. I love adding a leather jacket or blazer to any dress for date night + this is the time to add as many accessories as you’d like!!
A comfortable cardigan is another one of my go-to pregnancy pieces. It helps cover some of those areas you might want to cover and with all our continually changing body temperature it’s nice to throw on and off when needed. Paired with a darling pair of lace up flats and your outfit is complete!
So I’ve had a “to-do” list a mile long of little projects I’ve wanted to finish up before the holidays come and family/visitors start coming in as well. I finally got a few checked off my list!! Horray — which were printing new family pictures, hanging a few frames and updated the girls room.
Well I’m happy to tell you I was able to finish all three with the help of Framebridge. We got our family pictures a couple of weeks ago and that same night I was able to order all my prints + pick out the frames I wanted them in. All done within in 20 mins!! Anything to help save time + not have to drag all four little people out is a game changer!! I chatted with Framebridge and they were nice enough to offer my readers 15% on their first Framebridge purchase!! Use the code KAILEE15 at checkout to receive your discount!! Now run.
Also, here are the holiday deadlines for ordering. (incase your trying to spruce up your home before all your guests come) Mail in deadline is 12/4 (only 2 days away!) but print and frame order for anything digital is 12/18, so there’s still plenty of time to frame your heart out for the holidays!!
The next day I ran to Target and picked up two new pillowcases and throws, ripped off the old gold dots and replace the lamp for a couple of plants and volia!!! Room updated!! I hope this helps give you a few ideas for sprucing up any room in your house + I love the fact that you really only have to change out or add a few things to make a huge difference.
I rounded up some of my favorite home items to help you with some of your holiday shopping!! You can check them out below + the best gift guide for “HER” your mom, sister, best girlfriend or even the girl who has everything is HERE.
We are so excited to share our first service project of the season with you all!! This is something our family started doing a few years ago and the feeling that comes from giving service is something I never want my little people to forget + it always brings us back to the most important thing, and that’s helping and giving to others.
The kids put together baskets full of goodies, toys, games and more for one of the children’s hospital that Joe has worked at. They came up with the idea all on their own, which made it that much more meaningful for them. They put baskets together (for their own age group) of items that they loved or thought would be fun and entertaining in the hospital. It was really neat to see all the thought that went into each item. They would discuss it with each other and then ask Joe or I if we thought it would be a fun toy or activity to add to their baskets.
That night we came home and put together all the baskets and went to the children’s hospital the next day and dropped them off to the sick kids. Our people were so excited and afterwards kept saying how good they felt inside. It was such a great experience and they still talk about it today and the other ideas they have to serve others this month.
Each year our church puts out something beautiful for the world to enjoy and connect us closer to the true meaning of Christmas, and THIS year was nothing short of amazing!! #LightTheWorld is the best theme yet!! It’s all about severing others the entire month of December — 25 days, 25 ways to serve others. Isn’t that what Christmas is about?!?
Our family will be participating in more service ideas through out the month and wanted to share it with you all as well!! To find out more information click HERE + the video (I couldn’t get it to upload here) is one of the most touching videos about christmas I’ve seen in a long time. Be prepared to cry. I’ve seen it over a dozen times and I still get overcome with so much emotion and gratitude. I hope you all can get a little inspiration or that feeling to do something good for someone else. I can’t thank you all enough for your kindness + support for our family here in this space!!

This Christmas season #lighttheworld in 25 ways . . . over 25 days.
(yep it’s not always pretty getting ready for a trip)
So who has traveled somewhere with past week for the holidays?!! We did!! We ended up driving to our parent’s house in Utah for Thanksgiving this year. The drive is usually so insane (like double or triple the average time it takes to get there) just because it’s Thanksgiving, but due to sick grandparents we decided to go back home.
We usually leave either late at night or super early in the morning (to avoid traffic at all costs) So the little people stay in their comfy pajamas + nap/sleep on the way. This is a game changer….because Houston does NOT travel well. When we travel I let each kid pack a small backpack of things to entertain them on the ride there and some snacks. I also always have them bring a drink in a non-spillable cup so I don’t have to worry about any spills in the van.
I shared a few more of my favorite tips for “traveling with the little people” HERE. So check it out if your planning on traveling for Christmas with your littles.
Also, Skip Hop still has an amazing sale going on!! It’s up to 50% off site wide until tonight!! Hurry on over and snag some great deals! We love their zoo collection products. They have such a fun assortment of products from pajamas (Houston is loving monkeys right now), backpacks, lunch bags, ect. and the kids absolutely love them!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Let me know if you guys have any more great tips that work for your little people when traveling for holidays!!
