Summer is flying on by and I can’t even handle it! We are weeks away from the little people starting school again and I’m not even close to ready to lose all this extra time with them!! With August starting TODAY, one of my favorite sales of the year, the Nordstrom Sale, is also wrapping up quick! This year’s sale had so many great Fall staples! If you haven’t had a chance to shop it, or just need to check again before its over, I’ve put together a list of my top 6 things I recommend snagging before the sale ends!!

… JEANS …

Jeans are always a favorite for me during the Nordstrom Sale. Some of my favorite top quality brands go up to 40% off, so I always try and snag a few pairs. One of my very favorites this year were these. I’ve never tried the brand before and fell in love with the fit! They fit like a glove, but still had the perfect amount of stretch to keep them comfy and avoid saggy bum on day 2. You all know what I mean! If you are in the market for an amazing pair of black jeans, these will be your best friend. I have a couple pair I love them so much and wear them on repeat all Fall and Winter long.

… BASICS …

One item I never miss during the Nordstrom Sale is the basic tees. If you have been around for a while, you know that this top is one of my go to staple pieces all year long. I love it in the summer + layering it with a caridgan in the fall. It is the perfect addition to any momiform, and you cannot beat $11! A new addition to this year was this long sleeve option too. I love the fitted yet comfy style and the color options.

… COATS + CARDIGANS …

Coats and Cardigans just scream Fall weather to me. They are the perfect layering staple, so it is a no brainer to stock up during the Nordstrom Sale. This coat might just be my favorite purchase of the whole sale. I love the pop of color (and it comes in other fun ones too) and that it is fitted while keeping your warm too, instead of being too baggy. If you are in the market for more a winter coat (Utah winters anyone?!) this one is amazing and still available in a few sizes!

As for Cardigans, I couldn’t love them more. I even made the step to throw away my old robe this year (my mom is beyond thrilled) and replace it with this cardigan because it is just that cozy.

… SHOES …

A girl can never have too many shoes, am I right? Haha! In all honesty, I always try not to go overboard when it comes to shoes. There were so many amazing options this year so it was hard!! My biggest advice is to make yourself look at what you actually need this year, and invest in those. For me I wanted a good quality bootie and fell in love with this black pair and this pair. I loved them because I feel like between the two of them I will have just about every outfit covered! If you are looking for more of a flat, I have a pair almost identical to these and wear them ALLL the time. You will love them!

… WORKOUT WEAR …

I’ve shared and shared about it here, but I have been really focusing on getting back into some kind of workout routine. Hopefully I’ll get a good schedule nailed down when the people go back to school. I don’t know about you, but the best workout motivation comes in the form of cute clothes to do it in! I might go as far to say if you are going to get one thing from the whole Nordstrom Sale, it should be these leggings! How have I lived so long without them in my closet! Haha! They are so good I bought two pairs!

I know the Nordstrom Sale can be a little overwhelming, but when Fall comes around you won’t regret stocking up on some great basics you can wear throughout the season! I’d love to hear some of your favorite finds from this years sale!

I don’t know about you, but it feels like summer is FLYING by over here! It has been busy and so fun with my people.  I can’t believe we are a month away from school starting again! While we are still sweating our way through the rest of July + August, I have started gearing up for the changes Fall brings. One of the biggest is in the closet! I love finding the perfect pieces that make it possible to take pieces from your summer wardrobe and transition them to Fall. I’ve put together some of my top must haves to make prepping quick and easy.

… CARDIGANS…

When it comes to fall staples, cardigans have my number one vote! Fall style is all about layering and they make the perfect addition to any look. You can take a summer tee and jeans, and transition it straight into fall by just throwing on a cardigan. On top of being an easy fix to the season change, they are so comfortable. I finally got rid of my old robe (my mom is so thrilled about this) and have replaced it with a cardigan because they are that cozy. I love that they pair well with a tee and jeans, or over the top of a dress with booties, you can’t go wrong! When the Utah winters start to kick in , I love to pair a chunkier cardigan with a beanie for a cozy go to.

Utah weather can be a little unpredictable. It isn’t a bad idea to stock up on a good coat or two for the Fall too. I am always on the lookout for a coat that of course does its job in keeping me warm, but doesn’t completely drowned me and any sign of a figure. haha you know what I mean right?! So I was thrilled when I found these two this year. The olive one is so dang warm but I love how fitted and cozy it is. The mustard is such a fun pop to any outfit and again so warm!

As you can see below, adding a basic cardigan + coat to your closet staples can take your wardrobe into a whole new season, saving you money and extending the wear of those staple summer pieces too! So i wanna know, what are you favorite fall staples?!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially public, so that means shopping is available to EVERYONE!! When it comes to shopping  the sale, it’s easy to lose control and want to buy it all! Also the deals are soooo good and it’s such a great time to stock up! But if you aren’t in a place where you can really splurge too much, you can still get some great pieces while sticking to a budget! I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty sure one of my love languages is shoes! haha! I love finding a good pair that goes with a lot and just adds the right pop to an outfit! While I thought the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was good in so many categories this year, I did feel like the shoes were a little lacking. Last year I could not make up my mind because I loved so many, and this year wasn’t quite the same. BUT I did find a few that I know will get a lot of wear, and I’m excited to share the best of shoes with you today!

…FLATS…

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I love a good pair of flats. These white ones I have are always on repeat because they can easily be dressed up or down, and are SO SO comfortable. I was so happy to see that the sale has this pair that is almost identical. It comes in a rust, mustard, and grey option too and they are all under $50! If you love a good flat you won’t want to miss them. They are by far one of my most worn shoes.

…BOOTIES…

The bootie selection wasn’t as hot as it has been in years past, but there were still a few I loved. So my biggest splurge of the sale was probably these booties. Every few years I like to stock up on a pair that will be timeless over the coming years +  be so versatile. I also went out on a limb and tried a bootie style I never have before, the sock bootie. I’m still going back and forth on exactly how to style, but so far with dresses they are a win and a fun change! And last but definitely not least are these black studded booties. They are the perfect classic timeless look mixed with a fun pop.

Also the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the PERFECT time to stock up on a good pair of gym shoes. They always have a few great options at such good prices.I had two major favorites this year. First were definitely these Adidas, that I’m hoping will be good motivation to workout more! haha! My other faves were these Vans and Adidas for every day. Love the cute colors!

I don’t know about you, but sometimes the extra little motivation I need to workout  is some cute new workout gear to exercise in! It totally makes getting up earlier easier, am I right? So when I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and saw how many amazing options they have this year, I had to share with you guys!

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I’ve been struggling to get back in a workout routine. Ever since having the two babies things have just been so crazy I find myself always having an excuse to put it off. But you guys, I am finally really ready to get going again and get in a routine once school starts. I want to feel stronger + healthier and start putting a little more of my time into me.

I loved these leggings from last year and still wear them. And I was able to snag these basic black high-waisted ones that everyone has been raving about!! Honestly, I haven’t taken them off for the past two days!!
